PRECIOUS

Linda of Buttonwilloe.etsy.com makes these precious baby ornaments. She makes the original pieces by hand in polymer clay, then makes a mold, cast them in resin, and carefully hand-paints each ornament.

GLASSY

These bracelets, rings, and pendants are from undertheemilytree.etsy.com. The mixed-media tiles used in them caught my attention. Polymer clay, gold leaf, and acrylic paints give these tiles their wonderful colors, and resin creates a glass-like surface.

ENCAPSULATED

Dave Sheely (davesheelydesigns.etsy.com) uses polymer clay in the most unusual way – he encapsulates his polymer clay tiles in industrial grade urethane to make his beautiful rings and pendants.

There are more pictures of Dave's work in his Flickr photo album.

GORGEOUS

Lisa MacGregor, a British artist from ziggymac.etsy.com, uses metal leaf, inks, and resin over polymer clay to create her gorgeous focal beads and pendants. The process involves numerous steps and requires lots of time, but the result is definitely worth the effort.

GLOSSY

The secret to the glass-like shine of Linda Riopel's pendants is resin – a medium that had recently started to gain popularity among polymer clay artists. Linda came across this material while looking for a better finish for her image transfer pendants, but now she uses it on many of her creations, including pictured here beautiful pendants with delicate millefiori flowers.

Introduced to polymer clay about seven years ago by a friend, Linda is now eager to share her passion and enthusiasm. Twice a year she teaches polymer clay at the Adult Education Department in Smithtown, New York.

Find these and other amazing works by Linda in NKDesigns.etsy.com.
