STEAMPUNK
Rafa Maya is an artist from Barcelona, who uses polymer clay in his Steampunk creations only occasionally. The three pictures below are the only works I found, in which he included polymer clay, but the results are simply amazing. Surprisingly, his main medium is cardboard, assembled in fascinating designs and painted to look as metal.
You can see Rafa's works in his Etsy shop and blog.

WHIMSY
Anything and everything can be made out of polymer clay, and the only limitation is your own imagination.
I found a few examples to prove this statement in celticwhim.etsy.com: Shrek ears and wearable horns of any shape and color are in abundance before Halloween.

COMBINED
Betty Jo Hendershott and her daughter Heather love polymer clay, because it "is a wonderful medium, it can be combined with almost anything to make delightful one of a kind jewelry". Here are a few of their works combining polymer clay with colored wire.

TOASTY
Gail Krenecki's Neckies are polar fleece neck-warmers with handmade polymer clay buttons. Simple designs adorned by colorful polymer clay buttons, they look great and come in many color combinations. I love Cail's description of polymer clay: "Hue haven". I think it is applicable to her little cozy scarfs as well.

REFLECTIVE
For some reason, I do not often see polymer clay mirrors and picture frames on Etsy, although this material is great for making them. Here are some beautiful examples from AtelierPatricia.etsy.com.

AMAZING
Betty Abbott bought a copy of my Encyclopedia of Polymer Clay Leaves and e-mailed me to tell about her plans of using my caning techniques for her sculptures. Betty has been sculpting in polymer clay for just over 3 years, and she makes amazing faeries, mermaids, and other fantasy creatures. I cannot wait to see how she is going to work the leaf-cane techniques into the fins and tail of her next mermaid, and I am sure it is going to be something special.

EXQUISITE
Noelia Contreras makes amazing mica shift designs – with clean and sharp lines that are quite tricky to achieve with this technique. Her new striped designs demonstrate the same wonderful mastership. Find her works at daoine.etsy.com and www.flickr.com/photos/daoine.
