BACKING

In this colorful pendants by Pyglet Whispers, polymer clay works as a backing for the prints of her original pen and ink drawings. Without this wonderful material, making these pendants would have been much more difficult.

MAJESTIC

I came across a new shop – with beautiful art pins depicting carousel horses, a zebra, and (in the near future, I hope) a unicorn. So far, there are only three works in this shop, and all of them are shown below. I cannot wait to see more!

Here is the shop address: twistedcreatures.etsy.com.

FOLDED

Polymer clay is a great material for buttons – colorful, durable, and easy to manipulate.

I found a few interesting and original button designs at basrelief.etsy.com, and these folded ones are my favorite.

INSPIRED

These cute little polymer clay dragon pendants by twentypoundtabby.etsy.com were inspired by the works of Christi Friesen.

Christi's work and sculpting books are so popular that many polymer clay artists are influenced by her ideas.

WRITING

Although I love the original and eclectic jewelry made by this artist and was about to feature some of her jewelry pieces here, her writing tools are even more impressive. She makes notebook and pen sets with Japanese paper motifs (either transferred onto polymer clay or simply attached to a polymer clay base and protected by several layers of glaze). These sets would make wonderful, elegant, gifts. Find them at zcatstudiocreation.etsy.com

TEMPTING

I will tell you right away that this jewelry is NOT made of polymer clay. However, I can easily see these beautiful designs in polymer clay, that is why I wanter to show them here.

SPINNING

Although I enjoy knitting and crocheting, the world of hand-made art yarns is new to me. I have to admit that when I saw these pictures, I could not even say right away what these things are. I am glad to share my newly-gained knowledge with you: these are spindles! You can find them at
butterflygirldesigns.etsy.com.

The polymer clay disks on them are called whorls, and they were custom made by Marcia from marsdesign.etsy.com (who were already featured here on Polymer Clay Chameleon earlier this year).

These fun and funky earrings are from Diane Ringel (DesignsByDi.etsy.com). I hope you will enjoy browsing her web site and photo album to see how many creative uses she found for simple metal washers from a hardware store. I am especially fond of Diane's polymer clay earrings.

PERSONALIZED

I want to show you these wonderful works by Eclisse Creazioni, even though I am not quite sure what clay she uses. They can be definitely done in polymer clay, and I love how delicate and elegant these image transfer designs are.
