INNOVATIVE

Susan O'Neill (11BOLDstreet.etsy.com) is experimenting with liquid polymer clay. To make these innovative bracelets, she layered gauze (soaked in liquid polymer clay) onto a backing made out of regular polymer clay. Multiple baking with additional liquid clay and mica powders resulted in these beauties.

CHARMING

These luxurious charm bracelets are made by Kim Smith, a jewelry artist from England. Although she does not make the focal polymer clay beads herself, I love how Kim builds her designs around the focals to showcase them and to bring out their colors.

REPTILIAN

I do not know a fancy French name for fake snake skin, but it does not make these works less interesting.

Find them in ArtByLilin.etsy.com and artbylilin.blogspot.com.

COLORFUL

Melanie West sells these striking colorful bracelets in her Etsy shop, CorvusFlies.etsy.com. Even better, she offers there a tutorial about how to make them and also blank channel bracelets for those who love making things with their own hands.

Make sure to check out Melanie's web site and blog to see her wonderful bio-bangels that look like some fantastic deep-sea creatures.

EXOTIC

I continue following the list of artists in my Etsy treasury created on January 7, 2009.

The next artist on my list is Marcia Palmer form Georgia, USA. In her shop, marciapalmer.etsy.com, you will find an exotic mixture of polymer clay pendants, bracelets, pins, and other jewelry. I also love her switch plates.

Marcia likes to experiment with different techniques.

Find more pictures of her work in her photo album on Flickr.com.

ORGANIC

I am starting my blog by featuring the works of Dee Wilder. Her shop, Malodora.Etsy.com, is full of some amazing and truly original jewelry and beads, all made from polymer clay.

To be honest, this artist had caught my eye several times before I came across her shop on Etsy.com. Over the years, I saw her works on Flickr.com and in several blogs, and every time they made me pause and take a closer look.

Dee is an experimenting artist, the kind I admire the most. In this post, I show only a few of her creations, but even this small collection is a perfect illustration of this artist's creativity and originality.
