UNEXPECTED

Have you ever thought that ninjas could be cute or funny? The ones by Vicki Brown ( Lilley.etsy.com) are both! This is what she wrote in their description:

"This little ninja may look very cute and small, but beware he is deadly!

He's perfect for slipping in your pocket or bag, to leave on your desk at work or to place on your bedside table so you always have a pair of beady eyes looking out for you!"

There is more in lilley-lilley.blogspot.com/ and flickr.com/photos/lilley1.

SUNNY

After five days of rain I am longing for some sun shine, and these beads by Ivy Koehn look to me just like sunny patches on some fantastic flower fields.

You can find these amazing focal beads as well as Ivy's intricate kaleidoscope canes in her shop, ikandiclay.etsy.com.

RARE

There aren't that many polymer clay vases on Etsy (or, to be more accurate, vases decorated with polymer clay), so I was happy to see the ones by Adrianne Kinsella, a Canadian artist from Ontario. Adrianne works with recycled glass, which she paints with translucent acrylic glass paint. She applies her polymer clay details using her own technique, which she developed over 14 years.

Find these and other works by Adrianne in her shop, kissinglass.etsy.com.

DANGEROUS

Warning: do not read any further if you are hungry or on a diet.

I bet you'll be searching for some sweets after seeing the miniatures from fairchildart.etsy.com. Every little mouth-watering detail is sculpted out of polymer clay on a 1/12 scale!

For the toughest of us – there are even more enticing pictures in this Flickr photo album.

MAGICAL

I could not find any information about the artist behind one of the new Etsy shops, Pixiefy.etsy.com. One thing I can say for sure: these beautiful creations were definitely inspired by the works of a Norwegian artist, Lorianne Jantti, (which you may remember from my February post).

DAZZLING

These beautiful polymer clay beads are from Sherri Kelberg's shop, BeadazzleMe.etsy.com. This design is my favorite among all the other lovely beads at Sherri's shop.

There are more pictures of Sherri's work in her photo album.

GLASSY

These bracelets, rings, and pendants are from undertheemilytree.etsy.com. The mixed-media tiles used in them caught my attention. Polymer clay, gold leaf, and acrylic paints give these tiles their wonderful colors, and resin creates a glass-like surface.
