MAGICAL

I could not find any information about the artist behind one of the new Etsy shops, Pixiefy.etsy.com. One thing I can say for sure: these beautiful creations were definitely inspired by the works of a Norwegian artist, Lorianne Jantti, (which you may remember from my February post).

CHEERFUL

Here are some bright colors from Toni Ransfield's shop for your Monday morning. Tony is an American artist, who now lives in New Zealand. She makes beautiful fantasy flower and leaf millefiori canes, great for many applications. Se examples of finished items decorated with slices of these canes, in her photo album.

FLAWLESS

Heather Stokes uses a simple molding technique to make her polymer clay jewelry, but her pieces look incredibly sophisticated. Dreamy colors, gently-arched shapes, nice little accents created with other beads – it all adds to the beauty of Heather's collection, but my attention was caught first of all by her flawless craftsmanship. Look at the last picture. It shows that Heather creates a vein pattern on both sides of her polymer clay leaves. Beautiful, isn't it?

GREEN

For St-Patric's day, I found these beautiful green pendants and ornaments in the shop of Valerie Ashley from Rhode Island, ElysianFields.etsy.com. Valerie collects real leaves, imprints them in clay, and uses artist pencils and water colors to draw and paint tree nymphs and dryads.

Valerie donates 5% from each sale of these "Spirit of Nature Designs" to the Arbor Day Foundation to support public education and preservation of trees.
