ARTFUL

I have already wrote about the works of this artist earlier this year. Her name is Kate, and back then she had one Etsy shop, OrganicOdysseys.etsy.com, in which she was (and still is) offering her beautiful polymer clay jewelry decorated with imprints of leaves and other plant parts.

Kate now has an additional shop, StudioARTBEAD.etsy.com. This one is dedicated to her amazing textured beads and buttons. Her denim buttons (below) are an absolute favorite of mine. I had a privilege of seeing in person a necklace made out of these buttons – casual, yet unforgettably elegant.

FOLDED

Polymer clay is a great material for buttons – colorful, durable, and easy to manipulate.

I found a few interesting and original button designs at basrelief.etsy.com, and these folded ones are my favorite.

CROCHETING

These hand-made over-sized polymer clay beads are great for crocheted and knitted creations. I found them (as well as many other interesting products) in crochet18purple.etsy.com.

TOASTY

Gail Krenecki's Neckies are polar fleece neck-warmers with handmade polymer clay buttons. Simple designs adorned by colorful polymer clay buttons, they look great and come in many color combinations. I love Cail's description of polymer clay: "Hue haven". I think it is applicable to her little cozy scarfs as well.

THOROUGH

This must be the first time when the description of polymer clay works impressed me even more than the works themselves.

Kathy Shield Dümmer makes beautiful jewelry and buttons, but it is the thoroughness of her button descriptions that left me in awe. Check them out at brouhahadesigns.etsy.com.

WARM

As days get colder, you can find more and more warm and cozy knitted and crocheted things being offered on Etsy.com. These capelets and cowls from ellonysfjord.etsy.com demonstrate just how great polymer clay can be used with these items. Hand-made polymer clay buttons add lots of charm and character, don't you agree?

UKRAINIAN

Our today's artist is of an authentic Ukrainian origin, and her works clearly exhibit some strong Ukrainian influence. Tanya Besedina, who now lives in Toronto, sells these and other beautiful polymer clay creations in her Etsy shop, besedina.etsy.com. CUTE

An old saying "cute as a button" gets a new meaning when I look at the polymer clay buttons from TinyArk.etsy.com. Made by a "Dublin Duo", they come in many cute shapes and bright colors.

COZY

I've learned a lovely new word today: "scarflette". That is how Shirley Dunn calls her cozy knitted creations, which can be found in her shop, Kerrera Skye. Shirley embellishes her handknits with polymer clay buttons. She makes them herself, which allows her to match the colors of her yarn perfectly.

Shirley's scarflettes are so feminine and pretty that I almost wish for the winter to stay a bit longer...
