CHINESE

These ancient-looking polymer clay pendants are from kkennedydesignsTOO.etsy.com.

They were made by taking a mold of an antique Chinese chops. These chops are stamp used as a form of signature, so each chops is unique to begin with. Different color and sculpting variations add to the uniqueness of each pendant.

  4. As I understand the use of chops they are a type of stamp and there for are backwards so when they are used the stamp correctly.

  5. I have to admit that without knowing Chinese, I have no idea whether these characters are right or not, and I can see how people may be offended when the symbols they understand are misused. I definitely would not like it if somebody decorated something with misspelled Russian words, for example. However, again, without understanding the hieroglyphs, all I can do is admire the choice of colors and proportions of these pieces, and I still think they are beautiful for these reasons. I do apologize if I hurt any body's feelings by featuring these pendants...
